Descript features two editing modes: Edit Audio and Correct Text.

Edit Audio Mode is for making changes to your audio recording — rearranging sections, deleting filler words, and so on.

Correct Text Mode is for correcting your transcript, so the text is an accurate reflection of the audio beneath it.

Sometimes when you’re in Correct Text mode, it makes sense to quickly modify the audio without having to switch modes. As of Descript 1.3, you can take advantage of new keyboard shortcuts to do just that.
